Sequel to the extension granted by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in December 2018 for the 50% reduction in the cost of registration of business names for a period of 3 months (December 31, 2018 – March 31, 2019), the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has again extended the timeline for another 90 days commencing from today, May 13, 2019 – August 13, 2019.

This move by the CAC has stayed the cost of registration at N5, 000. 00 (Five Thousand Naira); $14 (Fourteen US Dollars) as opposed to the standard N10, 000. 00 (Ten Thousand Naira); $28 (Twenty-Eight US Dollars) cost of registration.

This is a laudable development by the Federal Government of Nigeria as it encourages micro, small, and medium scale enterprises to register their businesses in order to harness the benefits accruing from such registration to wit; having access to loans, grants and other government interventions among others.

Therefore, all small scale and intending business owners should take advantage of this timeously.
